An overview of the history of PTSD and Complex Trauma, discussion of common symptoms, and an introduction to symptom management.

Jeannie Hughes

Jeannie is a counselor and educator who invades faith communities with information and tools to help them become Trauma Busters. Born and raised in Council Bluffs, IA, Jeannie recently returned to the Omaha metro area after a 15 year adventure living and ministering on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. A graduate from the Clinical Counseling program at Denver Seminary, a Nationally Certified Counselor, and an LMHP in the state of Nebraska, Jeannie is uniquely qualified to combine spiritual and clinical insights in a way that anyone can understand. In addition to her work with Hukilani, Jeannie established Deepwater Counseling, a ministry of Bluewater Mission in Honolulu and has dedicated much time to the study and treatment of complex trauma. Her goal, in any setting, is to activate people into the destiny to which God is calling them.

Easy to use online course. Easy to start and stop, as needed. The platform was great and easy to navigate. The content was informative, well organized and easy to understand. Great resources were listed with every chapter. I said "easy" a lot. That's important to me because I squeezed in lessons during my lunch breaks at work or while waiting for an appointment. My life is busy but this course was well worth my time.
